Meet Craig

Coquitlam has always been home.

Craig Hodge has spent nearly 60 years living, working, raising a family and serving the community he is proud to call home.

A graduate of Centennial Secondary, Craig built his career as a photojournalist, first with the local community newspaper and later with the Vancouver Sun. That career gave him a front-row seat to the people, neighbourhoods and stories that have shaped Coquitlam and our region.

In 2011, Craig was first elected to Coquitlam City Council. Since then, he has worked to protect what people love about our city while helping Coquitlam grow and prepare for the future.

Craig and his wife, Darla, raised their three sons here. They know firsthand what makes Coquitlam such a special place to build a life and a family, and why we need to work hard to keep it that way.

After decades in this community and more than 15 years of experience on City Council, Craig is ready for the next chapter: leading Coquitlam as Mayor.

He believes deeply in this city, its people and its potential and he’s ready to bring the experience, steady leadership and local knowledge needed to build an even stronger Coquitlam for the generations to come.
